Ankara Matching Suit

Monday, May 4, 2015

One of my goals this year when it comes to my sewing is to sew stuff that I normally wouldn't sew. I can whip up a skirt and a dress in not time. I have made a pair of pants before but I really didn't like it so I never gave it a try again. I have also wanted to make a blazer or trench but just never got around to it. This is the year, and this outfit is my first of many. It was actually the most difficult thing I have ever sewn, especially the blazer. I made both pieces in bits over a few days. Although I liked the outcome, there are some things I would do differently. Practicing more will get me there.
Blazer and Pants: I made
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Wallet: Target

  2. I think you did a fab job at the blazer, the cuffs are really nice. I love african wax cotton so much (hence designing a whole collection mainly using it) and love the vibrancy of matching suits in it. Love the pant leg too! :)
