My favorite month of the year is coming to an end...le sigh... I can't believe it because just the other day I was celebrating my birthday. My friends from college came into town last weekend for a belated birthday celebration. We started our day at paint nite to catch up, continued our night over dinner, then ended up at the very campus where we first met and walked down memory lane, literally. When I pictured my birthday celebration, this was exactly what I had in mind. It was a relaxed day with lots of laughter and catching up. I was very excited to spend the day with them especially one of my friends whom I hadn't seen in about 7 years.
For the day, I wanted to wear something casual yet put together. Paint nite is really not messy but you never know when a mishap will occur, so always make sure you wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting paint stains in them. If you and a group of your friends are looking for a fun way to have cocktails and chat, I suggest you try paint nite. I have gone twice and I enjoyed both. I don't "drink" but its still a good ole time.
I completed my outfit with this camouflage anorak jacket. I think anoraks are the perfect transition piece for the seasons. So when I saw this in the store and decided to get all three colors, my sister questioned my sanity. But thats fine, some classic pieces deserved to be bought in every color available on the racks.
