Wedding Guest

Hi there! So I meant to post this last week as I mentioned on instagram. But I had one of those busy work weeks since I took two days off for the wedding. Speaking of the wedding, here is what I wore. I made a one shoulder dress a while ago and knew that was what I would be wearing to the wedding. Welp the sewing bug bites and just like that I decided to make something last minute. The peplum top is a 3D rosette fabric. Initially I wanted to use a sequin fabric then I figured maybe a velvet fabric. But in the end I went with this. I actually wanted to match the rosette fabric to the fabric I used for the maxi skirt but the color I found wasn't a perfect match. Then I though maybe a coral one instead. Still don't know why I didn't go with coral although this beige one worked just fine.
Good thing I liked my outfit because I hated my makeup. If you have been following my blog then you know i just started experimenting with makeup. Although I typically wear makeup about ones a week, every application is a learning process. This makeup look was going great until I decided to set my concealer highlight with the ben nye banana powder then everything went south. I usually use the MAC translucent powder or the ben nye topaz so why I decide to use the banana powder beats me. Needless to say, the makeup was way too highlighted for my taste but I was running late so I just went with it. Its one thing to look flawless, but in this picture, I was serving cake by the pound. Lesson learned. No more banana powder for me.

  1. WOW! this is so beautiful, love the everything!

  2. Ben Nye Banana powder is everything hunny. Don't give up on it just yet. It is actually one of the best products setting powders out there. Give it some time. Btw, your makeup turned out beautifully for a first timer. Well, at least it looks great in the pictures.
