Proud to Be Bostonian

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

I am sure by now you have heard of the explosions that occured during the Boston marathon yesterday. I can't believe things like this continue to happen. Imagine training months, sometimes years to run a marathon, get to the finishline and have something this horrific and tragic happen. These incidents no matter where in the world they happen always hits home for everyone and the fact that Boston is my own backyard makes it even harder to wrap my head around it all.
So when you say "pray for Boston" I hope you really are praying for Boston. Pray for Boston, the victims who continue to suffer like the little girl who lost her life running in memory of her bestfriend who was shot in sandy hook, and the gentleman who stood at the end of the finishline with a ring ready to propose to his girlfriend only to find her death at the finishline. Pray for the world we live in that it becomes a better place. Pray for evil doers like the ones who plotted the explosions that they find love in their hearts and realize that violence and taking innocent lives is not the answer.
In the words of our President "Boston is a tough and resilient town so are its people and I am supremely confident that Bostonians will pull together and take care of each other and move forawrd as one people and as they do the American people will be with them every single step of the way."
