When Accessories Inspire

When I saw this black and white animal print belt in Target I got it just because it was on sale. I initially had no idea what I wanted to do with it. Its a belt there is so much to do with it and then it hit me. On my way back driving all I could picture was a blue midi skirt and a white T.  Well I didn't have a blue midi skirt so I went scrambling through my pile of fabric in the corner of my room. I ended up finding two different blue fabrics, a chiffon one which I used for a pleated maxi skirt and a cotton one which I used for the midi skirt pictured below. I made both skirts on Friday and like the way they came out. Will be wearing the maxi soon. Well since I was going to work I wore a white button down shirt instead of the white T  I had in mind. Sometimes an outfit can be built around an accessory. I like this skirt so much I think I'm going to make it in every color of the rainbow. On another note, more items have been added to my ETSY SHOP
